The Sheraton Waikiki is right on one of the most popular portions of Waikiki Beach. It’s lively and picturesque. It’s also energetic and young, or young at heart!
Sometimes I like to aclimatize into Hawaii from the mainland. That usually means one or two days enjoying the amenities of Waikiki and easing into life on the beach. This is my first stay at the Sheraton Waikiki, and as a new SPG, Starwood Preferred Guest member, I’m eager to start building my reward points. But mostly I’m here for Okonomiyaki and the Edge Pool, as our next stop is ocean front Maui, our accommodations in a City View room are fine! The room is clean, and fairly large. The view is of the city, but has a nice sized lani. Good enough!

The Edge of Waikiki, Sheraton Waikiki’s new Infinity pool which seems to stretch endlessly. Resort guests 16 years and older will enjoy the illusion extended all the way to the horizon with magnificent views of Diamond Head and Waikiki Beach. The pool is picturesque and popular. Great for lounging and people watching. Lots of beautiful people here. Pool bar is The Edge of Waikiki. I had the most enjoyable, refreshing and delicious tropical smoothies (alcohol-free, its noon after all!) made with mango, passionfruit and pineapple while I enjoyed the endless views of Diamond Head.
It’s expensive, but it delivers if you’re up for a lively and well located hotel.
That said, there were also several lovely Waikiki Brides abounding the property. Best wishes to the lovely couple!

Drinking and Dining and Extras :
RumFire : Classic view of Diamond Head, starts going at 5pm and just picks up from there. Lots of lovely things partying.
Peet’s Coffee and Tea: If you’re up like me at 6am…they’re open!
Sheraton Waikiki has Club level accommodations, and I had a chance to visit the Leahi Club lounge. Spectacular view!
