I travel to Seattle for business several times a year, if you need ideas on things to do in Seattle here are mine. I had the chance to stay at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Seattle over a glorious summer weekend. My second time at this hotel, it has a lot to offer business and tourist travellers. Here are 6 reasons to stay at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Seattle.
1. WestLake Location
The Pan Pacific Hotel is in the Westlake neighbourhood of Seattle. Plenty to do in any direction, and all walkable! I put this first because I love this location! Its downtown if you want Pike Place Market or Nordstroms, or Safeco Field. Its close enough to walk or be quickly driven to dinner downtown. Fancy a day on the Lake, Lake Union is just a few blocks away, we even walked around the lake to Fremont! Local neighbourhoods are funky, gourmet, trendy, and interesting!
2. Space Needle Corner Suite
We stayed in a Space Needle Corner Suite, it was a huge space, with two fantastic views toward the Space Needle and toward Lake Union! Nicely configured for privacy, the large bedroom and ensuite is separated by a sliding wall partition from the plush lounge with HD Plasma TV and docking station, and a dining area with a contemporary table with 6 chairs. The second bathroom is near the entrance, and has a view of the Space Needle to enjoy when you shower! It can accommodate up to six guests. The Pan Pacific offers complimentary Ultra High Speed Wired and Wireless Internet Access. The suites have been recently renovated, and are supplied with bathrobes, slippers and toiletries by Aveda. And the views!!
The Space Needle Corner Suite does not disappoint, besides the luxurious amenities, it has breathtaking views! (Though I’ve also stayed in the Denny Suite which also has a pretty nice view of the Space Needle/Downtown.) I enjoyed watching the light change through out the day with both a gorgeous view of the Space Needle on one side and Lake Union on the other.
4. Service, Shuttles, and Valet Parking Packages
Service was genuine and responsive. The staff were friendly, plentiful, and positive! Pan Pacific Hotel Seattle offers complimentary Sedan shuttle service to all downtown Seattle locations within a two-mile radius of the hotel. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to noon, and 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Cars runs on a first come first serve basis. Return service is possible based on availability. They frequently have Valet Parking Packages, which means your parking is include in the cost of the hotel, a huge saving, and another way not to have to use your car downtown!
5. Reusable Water Bottles
I know it doesn’t seem a big thing, but I loved the Pan Pacific Seattle PanEarth program’s unique innovation of supplying daily water in reusable glass bottles! Clean, healthy, and sustainable! I even bought one to take home and take to work all summer long! Ice coffees, teas, and juice to go!
6. Vida Spa & Yoga, Starbucks and Whole Foods Market Downstairs
Rain or shine, gourmet food, picnic supplies, fabulous selection of beer and wine, spa day, early morning cappuccino, all downstairs. Vida’s Seattle location features 17 treatment rooms. Starbucks downstairs open 5am most days, and Whole Foods Market to satisfy a late night craving or fill you picnic basket. Amenities, you might not plan for, but sure handy when you have a need.
