Bienvenido Aeromexico! New airline daily service MEX –  YVR

From December 9, 2015, Aeromexico will operate a Boeing 737-700 aircraft with seat capacity for 124 passengers including 12 in Premier Business. Flight AM696 leaves MEX daily at 6:00 p.m. and arrives at YVR at 10:05 p.m. the same day. Flight AM697 leaves YVR at 11:20 p.m. and arrives at MEX at 7:00 a.m. the following day. The non-stop flight marks the beginning of a new daily service between Mexico City and Vancouver. Mexican visitors to Vancouver has increased by 30% since 2013, and we expect to welcome over 85,000 guests by the end of the 2015 year.


WestJet Announces Non-Stop Service between YVR and London Gatwick

WestJet announced the launch of new non-stop service between Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and London Gatwick Airport (LGW). Beginning May 6, 2016, the new service will operate using WestJet’s new Boeing 767-300 wide-body aircraft, complete with a signature new maple leaf-themed tail.

Flights will operate from YVR Vancouver to London LGW six times weekly; Departs 5:50 p.m.; Arrives 11:24 a.m. (+1). Return London LGW to Vancouver YVR six times weekly; Departs 12:55 p.m. ; Arrives 3:40 p.m. WestJet is moving to offer the non-stop flights at lower prices.

Air Transat Starts Direct Seasonal Service YVR to Rome FCO Summer 2016

Air Transat announced its European flights for 2016, which includes the launch of direct, weekly seasonal service between Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and Rome’s Leonardo Da Vinci (Fiumicino) International Airport (FCO). Beginning June 17, 2016, the new service will be Vancouver’s first non-stop service to Rome, Italy.  Service from YVR Vancouver departs Friday at 13:40 (1:40 p.m.); Arrives FCO Rome Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Return service from FCO Rome departs Saturday at 11:45 a.m.; Arrives at YVR Vancouver Saturday at 14:55 (2:55 p.m.). An Airbus A330-200 will operate on the route.

Air Canada Expands U.S. Service out of YVR – SJC, ORD, SAN

Air Canada announced the launch of three new U.S.-bound routes out of Vancouver International Airport (YVR) starting in 2016 include daily non-stop service between YVR and Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD), YVR and San Diego International Airport (SAN) and double daily non-stop service between YVR and San José International Airport (SJC). Service to Chicago (starting June 4, 2016) and San José (starting May 9, 2016) will operate year-round, while the San Diego route will offer summer service from June-October. The inaugural flights to San José and San Diego will mark the only services to these cities from Vancouver.

Air Canada will operate an Embraer E190 aircraft with seat capacity for 97 passengers on the YVR-ORD route; an Air Canada rouge Airbus A319 with seat capacity for 136 passengers on the YVR-SAN route; and a Jazz Aviation Bombardier CRJ705 with seat capacity for 75 passengers on the YVR-SJC route.

Even More Service to Orlando

WestJet was first to announced the launch of a winter direct, weekly service between Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and Orlando International Airport (MCO). Beginning January 1, 2016, this flight service to Orlando, Florida will depart YVR on Friday at 11:35 p.m. and arrive in MCO at Return service will depart Orlando MCO on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. and arrive at YVR at 1:03 p.m.

Starting January 20, 2016, National Airlines will operate a Boeing 757-200 twice weekly scheduled service between Orlando-Sanford International Airport (SFB) and YVR. Flights will depart SFB on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 18:45 and arrive in YVR at 22:15. The aircraft will turn around and leave YVR at 23:55 and arrive in SFB at 08:30 the following morning.The airline, headquartered in Orlando, Florida has a strong international cargo operation. Sanford International Airport is located midway between Orlando’s world class attractions and Daytona Beach; both at 50 minutes or less.
