Air Canada Expands Introduction of Boeing 787 Dreamliners to More Asia Routes from Vancouver
Air Canada announced it will expand the introduction of Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft featuring the airline’s new International Business Class and Premium Economy seating to more of its routes to Asia from Vancouver including Beijing in February 2015 and Seoul in March 2015. Air Canada recently converted its Vancouver-Shanghai route to 787 Dreamliner service, with Vancouver-Tokyo/Narita to be converted mid-December 2014.

Qantas will operate six direct flights between YVR and Sydney SYD in January 2015
To help Australian’s beat their summer heat and cool down on BC’s ski slopes, Qantas Airlines recently announced six direct return flights between Sydney and Vancouver in January 2015. This new service also gives Canadians the opportunity to shed the winter boots for flip flops and sunshine. Qantas will operate flights from January 3, 2015 to January 22, 2015 with a Boeing 747. Flights will depart from Sydney on Saturdays and Wednesdays at 14:30 arriving at 09:45. Flights will leave Vancouver on Sundays and Thursdays at 23:45 and arrive at 10:25 (+2days). Qantas also recently announced a codeshare with West Jet, providing new connections from their trans-Pacific services to an expanded network across Canada.

Air Canada Rouge announced new direct non-stop service between YVR and Osaka, Japan
The service is planned to begin May 1, 2015 and will be operated by Air Canada rouge with five flights per week from YVR to Kansai International Airport (KIX) in Osaka. The airline will run five flights per week from YVR to Kansai International Airport (KIX) until October 24, 2015, opening up a new destination and added access to Japan. Air Canada rouge will operate a Boeing 767-300ER aircraft on the route and offer a choice of economy and premium cabin service. Flight AC 1927, departs Vancouver at 12:05pm, arriving in Osaka at 2:55pm (next day), Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Flight AC 1928, departs Osaka at 4:25pm, arriving in Vancouver at 9:55am, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Air Canada Rouge will also offer service to Palm Springs (three times a week starting December 18, 2014) and Phoenix (daily, sarting December 17, 2014) on top of their existing service to Maui, Honolulu and Kona.

Air France seasonal service from Paris (CDG) to YVR starting in March 2015
Air France announced it will start a seasonal service from Paris (CDG) to YVR n March, 2015. Air France will operate Boeing 777-200 aircraft equipped with its new leisure configuration.The non-stop seasonal service will operate three times per week from March 29 to May 3, 2015; five times per week from May 4 to September 13, 2015; and three times a week from September 14 to October 24, 2015. Air France and its co-carrier KLM Royal Dutch Airlines offer connectivity to 55 destinations in Europe. The new service to Vancouver is in addition to KLM’s offering of 7 weekly flights between YVR and Amsterdam-Schiphol.
